Color conversion filter in photography and film
Absorption-free, dichroitic filters serve the purpose of modifying the colour temperature of light sources. The nontransmittable radiation is separated by reflection.
The chromaticity co-ordinates x and y have been calculated according to DIN 5033 from the known spectral energy distribution of a black body of a specified temperature and the measured spectral transmittance values of the filter. These chromaticity co-ordinates, according to DIN 5033, part 8 indicate the colour temperature.
Application examples:
Filters for lighting in photography, film, and television studios and for recording equipment.
